It as been a great year at BFEC with many of our students meeting success in their learning. Our population continues to grow with each new Quarter and we are excited for what next year will bring. On behalf of the staff, I want to thank all of our students for making this school year a memorable one! We hope everyone has a safe and wonderful summer.  For those graduating, we want to wish you all the best! You have worked hard and you deserve to leave here feeling confident and ready to take on whatever awaits you! Do not be strangers and please come back to visit. We always love updates!

Graduation:
We are looking forward to celebrating with our graduates at the end of June. Graduation rehearsal and breakfast will be on Wednesday June 26 at 10:30am and the Graduation Ceremony will be on Thursday June 27 at 11am.

Last Day of School:
Last Day of School for our returning students will be Friday June 28. Report cards will be available for pick up between 9am and 10am. There are no other plans on that day for our students. If a student cannot make it to school on that last day they may leave us a self addressed
and stamped envelope and we will make sure they are mailed to you at end of day June 28th. Another option is to wait until August 28 and students can drop in to pick up their report card on that day.

TRANSCRIPT REQUESTS:
MyTranscripts is available for Nova Scotia Students that are applying to Nova Scotia Universities and Colleges (see the 11 available schools on the My Transcript Site). This is available to students that are currently enrolled or graduated in 2012 or later. Instead of sending a paper transcript, you will be asked to provide your Nova Scotia Provincial Student Number (PSN) on the application for admission to the Nova Scotia university or college of your choice.
Student numbers do not change and can be found on report cards and in the PowerSchool portal, if you are unsure of your student number contact BFEC. If you require a paper copy of your transcript see the process below.

Transcript Requests During the Summer – July and August
If you are looking for a copy of your transcript over the summer months (June 29 – August 28th) you can either:
1. Fill out the form found on the BFEC website (https://bfec.hrce.ca/bfec/generalinformation/transcripts) include payment ($5 for the first copy and $2 for each additional copy) and forward to:

Requests received by July 31st will be processed on Thursday, August 1st. Requests received after that date will be processed beginning August 28th.

2. Fill out the linked form and bring to BFEC Bedford, 426 Rocky Lake Drive on Thursday, August 1st from 9am – noon ONLY. Your request will be processed in person at that time. A copy of your transcript is $5 and each additional copy is $2. Cash only for in person requests and you must have the correct change.

Late Registration:
BFEC will be accepting late registrations on Tuesday August 27 from 11:00 am to 2:30pm, Wednesday August 28 from 10:00 am to 2:30pm and Thursday August 29 from 10:00am to 2:30pm.

First Day for 2019-2020 School Year:
First day back to school for students for the 2019-2020 school year is Thursday September 5, 2019. Classes begin at 9:40am.

Demographics:
Please make sure school has up to date demographic information. This includes mailing address, phone numbers and emergency contact people and numbers.

Farewell and best of luck to some of our BFEC staff! We will miss you! At the end of every school year, staff and students say farewell to teachers and support staff as they move along to new adventures! We want to take a moment to thank the BFEC staff who are leaving the Falcon’s nest. Thank you for your Outrageous Love and dedication to our school.

September 5- First Day back to school.
