Bedford and Forsyth Education Centres

Online Learning

As part of the province’s attempts to gain control of a recent outbreak of COVID-19 here in Nova Scotia, the NS Government announced that schools will be closed and teaching and learning will take place online for the week of January 10 to January 14. This means both the Bedford and Dartmouth BFEC campuses will be closed from January 10 to 14.  All teaching and learning will be online.

Teachers will be in touch with students /parents/guardians to outline their on-line class routines and expectations. Check your emails on Friday! Please contact your child’s teacher if you require access to technology or are experiencing related challenges.

BFEC will provide Chromebooks for students who require the use of this device during the week of January 10.  The BFEC buildings will be open on Thursday from 1-4 and  Friday January 7 from 9:30am to 11:00pm for students to pick up a Chromebook.  If you are unable to come in on Friday please let your teacher or Vice Principal know so we can arrange for an alternate time. If the student is sick, we ask that they not come to the school to pick up their Chromebook. They can contact their teacher or Vice principal to make alternate arrangements to collect a Chromebook.
